NEW PARISHIONER REGISTRATION
Welcome To St. Patrick's!
Any Catholic and all those who are interested in joining our community are welcome to worship with us without registration. However, there are good reasons to become a registered parishioner in the parish. You need to be registered to enroll children in any of our sacramental programs. Also, adults who are requesting a sacrament, especially baptism, confirmation or marriage for themselves or their children, need to be registered. To Register visit or call the Rectory Office
HOSPITALS AND NURSING HOME
The parish take care of the spiritual needs of two hospitals and eight nursing/retirement homes. We are partners with the priests on Call for the General hospital. We take care of the regular spiritual needs of St. Peter's Hospital. The priests in the diocese help us to organize a weekend mass for Catholics in St. Peter's every Saturday. In the nursing homes under the parish we extend spiritual services including a mass every month.
PARISH SCHOOLS
We have three schools attached to the Parish: St. Patrick's next door to the church, St. Brigid at Smith Ave. between Canon and Barton and St. Columba at Main Street East and Birch. For each school there is a mass every month. The Confirmation is done for all the three schools together and First Communion for each school separately.

- St. Columba School - 905-544-9495
- St. Brigid School - 905-529-2848
RCIA PROGRAM
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Program regularly runs from September to April and meets every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the rectory meeting room. The RCIA faith journey, is a process of welcoming adult new comers (inquirers) into the Catholic Church. It is also an opportunity for current Catholics to deepen their faith and knowledge of Catholicism. If you know of anyone who may be interested in becoming a Roman Catholic, please pass the “Good News” along! Please contact the Rectory Office to register and make an appointment.
CATHOLIC FUNERAL RITES
When a death in the family occurs, please contact the Rectory Office and we will assist you in making the liturgical arrangements.
For information
Did you know that it is our tradition to celebrate the funeral liturgy for Catholics in the Church? It is our custom to celebrate the Funeral Mass in the church with the body present. When it is not possible to have the body present, the cremated remains may be brought to the church.on Catholic burial,
please contact the cemetery office at (905) 522-7727 or
(800) 661-5985, or visit their website.Sometimes family members who are not Catholic or who have abandoned the practice of their faith feel uncomfortable celebrating a funeral Mass in the church on behalf of the deceased. In such circumstances it may be appropriate to celebrate a Liturgy of the Word (without Communion) in the church. A funeral liturgy for a member of our church at a local funeral home is strongly discouraged.
It is important that you (as a practicing Catholic) make this information, as well as your personal wishes, known to your family members and those who will be responsible for making your funeral arrangements. It is also recommended that you include these wishes in your will.
MEMORIAL CARDS
Memorial cards to honour the memory of loved ones are available at P. X. Dermody, Friscolanti and other local funeral homes and also at our parish office. When making funeral plans, please consider inviting donations to our Church Heritage Fund. The family of the deceased will be informed and a receipt will be issued. If you would like more information, please call the Rectory Office
